Situated on Baixia Rd., just a stone's
throw away from the historic Huaihe River that meanders
its way through Nanjing, ODTN's
offices are a nexus of news and information for the
greater Nanjing metropolitan area, as well as for
Jiangsu province and China as a whole. ODTN is the
English language version of longhoo.net, a Chinese
language website catering to Nanjing; both websites are
operated under the auspices of Nanjing's
municipal government, and serve as an important tool for
carrying local news and information.
Unlike our Chinese language site, ODTN not only
provides relevant and up to date information to the
English speaking populous living in Nanjing, but also
strives to introduce Nanjing and it's
cornucopia of local culture, news, and business to
foreign friends in the west. Because of our close
relationship with the government, ODTN is also able to
offer a range of IT and consulting style services aimed
at encouraging foreign investment of local enterprises
and economic projects.
Set up by the Nanjing municipal government as a
news and information carrying apparatus, ODTN's
primary mission is to bring a greater understanding of
this part of China by ensuring a steady up to date flow
of news and information that goes beyond simply relaying
news stories to include analysis of the effect of
economic development trends and the newest reforms, as
well as coverage on what this all means for the people
