A reporter learned from Statistic Department that from January to May, the
total retail volume of social consumables of Nanjing reached 56.040 billion RMB,
up 16.9% over the same period of last year. The scope of increase ranked as the
third in Jiangsu.
From January to May, the sale volume of food, apparel and commodity increased
13.6%, 20% and 18.3% respectively.
In the first five months, the sale volume of sport and entertainment
increased 26.8%. The sale volume of E-journal and audiovisual products increased
38.4%. The sale volume of office supplies increased 28.8%. The sale volume of
cosmetic and jewelry increased 27.8% and 65.7%. In addition, from January to
May, the scope of increase of auto sale volume increased 14.8%.
