According to the statistics of Nanjing Custom, from January to November, Jiangsu achieved export and import value of foreign trade totaling US$318.21 billion, up 24.1% over the same period of last year. The volume of import reached US$184.94 billion and the volume of export reached US$133.27 billion. The foreign trade surplus reached US$51.67 billion, an increase of 57.7%.

Insiders analyzed that processing trade was the main cause of trade surplus of Jiangsu. In the first eleven months, the export and import processing trade value of Jiangsu reached US$195.62 billion. Among these, the volume of export reached US$118.31 billion and the volume of import reached US$77.31 billion. The trade surplus reached US$41 billion. EU and America are main areas of Jiangsu foreign trade surplus, the volume reached US$36.72 billion and US$32.47 billion.
