Many of New Zealand's publicly established science and technical colleges and
privately established higher education organizations can directly enroll Chinese
high school students who have completed their second year of high
school.
However, students need to have an ILETS score of 5 or better, or
a minimum TOEFL score of 525, otherwise students will first need to take part in
language classes. Besides this, New Zealand has widely been acknowledged as a
"supper station" for high school students aiming to go to the U.S. or European
countries to study abroad.
All in all, no matter which country you go to for studies, the first step is
to make it past the language barrier. Usually, countries that use English as a
medium for education all require the language abilities of students to pass a
certain test, and reach a certain standard before allowing students to go into a
undergraduate program; otherwise they must take English strengthening course for
a certain amount of time.
Other countries that are not English speaking
countries such as France and Germany have similar language study requirements.
Under most circumstances, according to how much time the student needs to devote
to language studies, there are three kinds of study abroad proposals to choose
from.
Method 1: a half a year of language study in China plus 1 year of
language study abroad plus an undergraduate program abroad. Method 2: one year
of college study in China plus an undergraduate program abroad. Method 3: two
years of college study in China plus the last two years in an undergraduate
program abroad. |
