Nanjing Normal University

Nanjing Normal University (NJNU), on the threshold of its 100th anniversary, is striding on its way to prosperity. It is one of the national key universities under the "211 Project" and also a provincially renowned institution of higher learning. The history of Nanjing Normal University can be traced back to the "Sanjiang Normal Institute" established at the end of the Qing Dynasty, namely in the year 1902 by Zhang Zhidong, followed by "Liangjiang Normal Institute" and evolved into "Nanjing Higher Normal Institute" which embodies the maturity of Chinese higher normal education.
