The tendency of bringing in domestic investment in Nanjing was fine in the first quarter of this year. As informed from Nanjing Office of Economic Cooperation, Nanjing reached agreements with parties concerned on introducing an investment of 7.6 billion RMB from other cities with 3.05 billion RMB already put in place in the first quarter. Seven suburban counties reached agreements on introducing investment of 3.89 billion RMB from other cities with 1.52 billion RMB put in place.

With the help of Nanjing Office of Economic Cooperation, such 8 towns as Dongba, Baima, Dingbu and Zhuzhen developed cooperation with sub-districts in the city proper. The Office has also actively organized industrial coordination between urban and rural industries and helped Pukou Economic Development Zone hold promoting conferences on such projects as biology, medicine and electronics, while having invited over 40 leaders of enterprises and institutions in medicine and electronics in Nanjing to investigate and make arrangements in the development zone.
