At 10:00 yesterday morning, heartrending sirens began to be sent around Nanjing. The peace gathering of commemorating the 6th anniversary of 300 thousand murdered compatriots in Nanjing Massacre was held in the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders at Jiangdongmen.

Sun Shuangjin, the master of East Beijing Road Primary School, read "Nanjing's Nanjing's Peace Declaration" as the representative of residents in Nanjing. Such over 3000 people as survivals and relations of victims in Nanjing Massacre, representative of varied democratic parties and students, directors of the Memorial Hall of Anti-Japanese War, "9.18" Historical Museum, the Exhibition Hall of 731 Army's Crime Evidences, the Memorial Hall of Songhu Battle and Guangzhou Art Museum as well as friends from Japan Eastern Railway Union, Masou Ootani Delegation of visiting China, Hiroshima Peace Exchange Group and Nagoya Peace Exchange Group attended this gathering.

After the opening ceremony, people knocked the "Peace Bell" and presented flowers to victims in Nanjing Massacre.

As informed, yesterday, many residents held activities at Pude Temple, Beijige, Yaziji and Zhongshan Port Monuments of mourning for murdered compatriots in Nanjing Massacre.
