Zhongshan Dock is one of Nanjing massacre sites. Then and there, the young and strong refugees accounting to over ten thousand were massacred herein.Thereinto,in the evening of 16 December 1937,the Japanese invading troops raided the so-called soldier suspicions over five thousand resided in the former Huaqiao rest house and massacred them by machine-gun,then discarded them into the Yangtze River.On December 18th,the Japanese troops again  raided over four thousand yong men from the refugees resided in Dafangxiang and shoot them in manchine-gun. The Japanese troops also massacred over eight hundred Chinese refugees near Beimaichi,Nantong Road and Jiujiawei,beside the Changjiang River at the same time or so.

This gravestone is located in the Zhongshan Dock,near the Yangtze River.

Nanjing civilian corpses suffered cruelly slayed and burned at the side of the Yangtze River.
