Luo Zhongyang is 86 years old. At present, he lives at Jiangxin Islet in
Nanjing. In 1937, he was 16 years old and took part in Songhu Resistant War with
the army. After they retreated to Nanjing, he and his comrades were driven by
Japanese invaders to Sanchahe. Then, they were shooted by muskets and
machine-guns. Luckily, Luo Zhongyang didn't die, but he saw thousands and
thousands of Chinese compatriots died in that massacre with his own eyes. "All
my father and uncles died. Many people lost their family members in that war.
China must be very strong. Historical tragedies can't repeat absolutely", said
Luo. |
