A reporter learnt that, with a development scale of over 10 billion RMB, software industry of Nanjing has ranked the 5th in China.

As informed, software industry of Nanjing and its integrated system realized sales income of 10.9 billion RMB last year with the completion of "The 10th Five-year Plan" one year ahead of schedule. Such famous software enterprises in China as Siemens, Motorola, Ericsson, Samsung, Huawei, ZTE, etc. have set up braches as well as research and development centers in Nanjing in succession. A batch of economically powerful software enterprises have appeared in Nanjing. Such 15 software enterprises and integrated system as Nari Group and Panda Electronics have realized sales income of over 100 million RMB, with 7 of them listed among 100 top enterprises of national software industry. At the same time, special product groups of software are growing up. Such 6 product groups of software as the management system of electric automation, telecom management, infomationization of manufacturing industry and the system software of inset education have taken initial shape with the market share in the software of electric automation occupying half of that of China.
