Foreign-funded retail magnates enter into Nanjing

The competition among retail market in Nanjing has become fiercer and fiercer. A reporter learnt from Nanjing Municipal Department of Commerce and Trade that a batch of foreign-funded retail magnates plans to enter into Nanjing.

At present, several tens of foreign-funded industries have entered into Nanjing, related to general merchandises, supermarkets and electric appliances.

TESCO is the largest retail company in Britain. It is also the third retailer in the world. At present, it has 49 shopping centers in NE., N. and E. China. It is planning to set up a shopping center in Nanjing.

In addition, Galleria Department Store, one of the largest ones in Korea and Thailand Central Foreign Firm, the largest Chinese Commercial Group in SE. Asia will enter into Nanjing.
