Tomorrow, the case of Xia Shuqin, a survivor in Nanjing Massacre, appealing to Nakano Shuudou, a Japanese right-wing writer will be adjudged at Tokyo Court. Yesterday, 78-year-old Xia started to Tokyo with her lawyer group. "The law will uphold the most elementary fair and square", said Tan Zhen, the agent lawyer of this case.

As introduced by Tan, Xia has offered several tens of related evidences to Tokyo Court including materials of her registered permanent residence, related documentaries, analysis reports by related experts and scholars as well as the ones about Far-East Adjudgement in 1946. In addition, the documentary "The Record of Nanjing Massacre" shot by John Magee, an American churchman, and the book "Rabe's Diary" also recorded the nightmares of Xia and her family during that massacre. "These materials can be enough to prove that Xia is a survivor of Nanjing Massacre. What she once said is really a truth. Nakano Shuudou slandered her as a false witness, and it has hurted all Chinese compatriots", said Tan.

News background:

In 1937, Xia Shuqing was eight years old. In that year, she survived from Nanjing Massacre.

In December, 1998, Matsumura Syunso, a Japanese right-wing representative wrote a book "Doubts against Nanjing Massacre" and slandered Xia as a false witness of that massacre. After that, another right-wing writer, Nakano Shuudou, also wrote a book and denied Xia as a witness.

On Nov.28th, 2000, Xia Shuqin appealed to Nakano Shuudou and Matsumura Syunso in Nanjing. And in August, 2006, Xia Shuqin won the case.

Before Xia won the case in Nanjing, Nakano Shuudou appealed to Xia in Tokyo. In June, 2006, Tokyo Court held hearings for the first time. Xia Shuqin appeared in court. Nakano Shuudou quashed the appeal in court, but Xia countcharged at once.

Tomorrow, Tokyo Court will adjudge this case.
