Victim's shabby straw sandals, a beer bottle of former Japanese Imperial
Army, a metal pail which was once half filled with gasoline, a bottle-green
vintage flashlight, a list of buried bodies on red paper and 18 boxes of tapes
recording what victims said in 1984...These are some of relics directly related
to the history that Yang Xinhua, the deputy director general of Nanjing Cultural
Relic Bureau, Han Chuanshou, a teacher of Nanjing University of Technology, and
Guo YOngzhu, a resident of Nanjing donated to the Memorial Hall of The Victims
in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders.
Zhu Chengshan, the curator of the memorial hall said that they have over 10
thousand proofs, and 179 of them are the first class nationally, the relics
donated yesterday have been appraised as quasi first class.
