Volunteers of Jiangdongmen Memorial Hall taking an oath

Yesterday afternoon, 200 volunteers of Jiangdongmen Memorial Hall, the Memorial Hall of Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, took an oath representing other 900 ones and began to serve visitors. As informed, this is second batch of volunteers of this memorial hall.

As introduced by Zhu Chengshan, curator of the Memorial Hall of Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, with the new memorial hall put into operation, they need some volunteers to ensure the service and keep the visiting activities in order, so on Nov.9th, they began to recruit volunteers. By Dec.8th, the number of residents applying for has reached over 1,100 with the oldest of 75 years old and the youngest of only 8 years old.

As learnt, all these volunteers will be act as guides of the memorial hall. Some of them who can speak in Japanese and English will also deal with related materials.
