"Opening the Door to Music", the 2009 Summer Classical Music Popularization Festival, will start at the Grand Theatre of Nanjing Culture and Art Center on the 17th of July. There will be more than 30 shows in total, among which 8 high-level symphony concerts will be shown for Nanjing citizens during the first month of the festival.

At the opening ceremony on July 17th, a Mozart Effect Experimental Concert will be given featuring the Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra led by Zheng Xiaoying, who is the first female conductor of New China. Not long after, three more symphony concerts will be brought by the famous conductor, Tang Muhai. He, together with the Zhejiang Symphony Orchestra, will perform the Concert of Tchaikovsky Works and Concert of Rachmaninoff Works respectively on the 24th and 25th of July.
