The "2004 China¨CNanjing Major Projects Investment Consultation and Talks" that lasted 3 days ended in Nanjing's International Exhibition Center yesterday. During the 3 days, over 2000 business merchants from 21 countries, Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan of China, and 19 provinces and cities of China came to attend this "capital meeting" to strive to secure business opportunities and plans to develop. The Major Projects Investment Consultation and Talks has become an important platform of reform and opening up, and helps attract business and capital to Nanjing. It also creates important opportunities for new development in Nanjing.

During the Major Projects Investment Consultation and Talks, Nanjing saw 69 major projects receive cooperation status with 18.94 billion RMB investments. This time, Zhenjiang, Huai'an, Ma'anshan, Wuhu and Chuzhou released a batch of major projects that attracted the attention of many businessmen who attended the talks. The projects that these five cities released were closely linked to the harmonious development of the greater Nanjing metropolitan area, such as a freeway that connects Maanshan to Nanjing's Lukou airport and so on. Nanjing released more projects that will have an influence on economic development of the surrounding area, such as the third Nanjing Yangtze Rive Bridge with 3.5 billion RMB investments and so on.
