Fast-food sector strives for drive-in restaurants

On June 20, McDonald's signed with Sinopec to jointly develop "Drive-Thru drive-in restaurants in gas stations.

On July 6, drivers tried the new-type dining consumption manner at KFC Drive-through Restaurant in METRO Supermarket square.

In recent days, Lihua Fast-food also entered into gas stations in highways of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Fast-food sector strives for drive-in restaurants.

McDonald's said they would set up McDonald's drive-in restaurants in some gas stations of Sinopec. In addition, they also come to an agreement with Wanda Group to set up McDonald's "Drive-Thru" restaurants in Wanda large-scale Shopping Plaza or commercial square.

KFC plans to set up 100 drive-in restaurants in three years. Besides of Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Wuxi, other economic developed cities have been listed into the plan.

Besides of KFC and McDonald's, Chinese style fast-food giant Lihua also wants to strive for the drive-in restaurant market. Lihua Company also thinks of other sale channels and gas station will be an ideal choice.

In fact, in China, young people and children favor foreign fast-food. They not only like the delicious hamburger, but also appreciate the comfortable environment. But in America, decorations of KFC and McDonald's are absence of attraction.

But Chinese meal will also face up many problems. Chopsticks are required and drivers must stop the car. So investors need deep consideration.
