Through five-year development, Nanjing exhibition economy saw the rapid growth. Every year, Nanjing holds over 200 exhibitions and over 4000 meetings. The exhibition industry ranks as the fifth in China after Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

"Nanjing International Expo Center" with an area of 330 thousand square meters will be set up in Hexi area. Vice-director Lihong of Nanjing Exhibition Office said: "But Nanjing exhibition industry has not a special operation platform.
