Yesterday, at introduced by Li Hong, vice director of Nanjing Municipal
Bureau of Trade Promotion, this year, Nanjing will be created as the second
largest city for large-scale exhibitions next to Shanghai in east China, with
the tax of 1.8 to 2 billion yuan.

The design of new international exhibition
center
To hold 10 major exhibitions in 2007
As informed, Nanjing will hold such 10 major exhibitions as China Trade Fair
of Textile Products, China Auto Fitting Trade Fair, Asias Outdoors Product
Exhibition, China (Nanjing) Software Product Expo, Jiangsu Provincial
International Clothing Festival, China (Nanjing) Golden Autumn Economic and
Trade Talks and Nanjing International Auto Exhibition.
As introduced by Li Hong, Nanjing will create another famous brand of
exhibition in the world such as 1st Asian Outdoors Product Exhibition held in
Nanjing in 2006. At present, Nanjing is negotiating with Germany Leipzig Mess
GmbH in order to introduce in related exhibitions from Germany.
To realize the exhibition area increasing 30%
On Dec.30th, 2006, the construction of the new exhibition center in Hexi was
started. This new exhibition center will converge with such three parts as
exhibition area, conference center and fitting facilities with totally 5910
exhibition desks. As estimated, the first period of this center will be
completed in 2008. It will become a new carrier for the modern service sector in
Nanjing.
As introduced, in 2006, the total area of exhibition in Nanjing reached 230
thousand square meters. Nanjing held over 5,400 exhibitions in the whole year,
bringing the economic increase of 12 billion yuan. In 2007, the number and area
of exhibitions will increase 30% respectively.
A special fund of 8 to 10 million yuan to create the famous brand of
exhibition
As introduced by Li Hong, Nanjing set up a special fund of 8 to 10 million
yuan to develop the exhibition industry this year. Nanjing will introduce in
some famous domestic and foreign brands of exhibitions, hence creating Nanjing
as the second famous city for exhibition next to Shanghai in east
