The first McDonalds "Drive Thru" settled in Nanjing Xianlin area. It is the
24th "Drive Thru" that McDonalds sets up in China. CEO Jeffrey Schwartz of
McDonalds comes to Nanjing for the third time. The reporter found

Jeffrey Schwartz said: "I am an America, but I have lived in China for two
years. I like China and Chinese culture very much. I respect China."
Serve McDonalds for 37 years
According to our understanding, Jeffrey Schwartz has worked in McDonalds for
37 years. He has rich experiences. He joined in McDonalds in 1968 and worked as
a common employee in Minneapolis. In 1986, he was appointed as working director
in Minneapolis area. In 1989 and 1996, Jeffrey Schwartz acted as regional
manager in Phoenix and Los Angeles. From 2001 to 2004, he acted as general
manager in South California area. He became vice-president of McDonalds in 2004.
In Nanjing, he is glad to introduce "Drive Thru" to people. He said that 70%
restaurants in America were "Drive Thru". Nanjing "Drive Thru" is located in
Xianlin area. There are about 150 thousand undergraduates and metro No.2 line
will be open. Jeffrey Schwartz has confidence in "Drive Thru" in Nanjing.

Jeffrey Schwartz said: "I am very glad to see the active working attitude of
Chinese employees." He told the reporter that he would not only develop the
brand of McDonalds, but also bring up employees. He hopes in the future,
McDonalds in China are managed by Chinese people. They hope they can bring up a
