The Dragon Boat Festival is the age-old traditional festival of China. In order to help foreigners learn about traditional Chinese culture and display open and harmonious atmosphere of Nanjing, in the morning of May 23, the "cultural exchange envoys celebrating Dragon Boat Festival" activity was held in Nanjing. Foreigners and Nanjing residents celebrated the Dragon Boat Festival.

Over 13 foreigners from over 20 countries and regions, and representatives of Nanjing foreign cultural exchange envoy attended the activity. They wrapped and tasted Zongzi (rice dumpling wrapped in reed leaves) to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. At the activity venue, chefs displayed the excellent traditional Chinese kitchen stove and folk artists displayed folk custom such as paper-cut, knot and mud sculpture. Pupils from Nanjing Educationist Association performed the classical intonates.
